I love the California Poppy. Eschscholzia californica, also called Cup of Gold. Its such a simple but spunky flower. Opening up like a cup taking in the sunlight. And when the weather gets unsavory and cold, like at night, it closes up nice and tight as if saying, Eff you World, Im gonna hang out in my own space.
